Protect Your Investment with a Diligent Home Inspection
With years of experience, Healymonster Home Inspections does thorough home inspections like no-one else. I take the time to meticulously check all areas of the home including the basement, crawl space, and attic. In addition to checking the structure and safety of the home, I check for signs of moisture, mold, mildew, fire hazards, and more. I also check all major appliances and evaluate the state of the plumbing and electrical systems. Once I have finished the inspection, you’ll feel confident that the home has been thoroughly checked.
Have you ever wondered what the purpose of a home inspection is? Many people misunderstand the purpose of a home inspection. The main purpose of a home inspection is to give you the information needed to make an informed decision on the purchase of your new home.
Home inspectors focus on the major deficiencies that will cost the buyer a lot of money above the purchase price to repair. Cosmetic items are rarely reported. By bringing these major defects to the client’s attention, they can then choose to negotiate with the seller with the intent on getting the major components repaired or a reduction in the selling price
However, I have had clients that asked me to really pick the house apart because they wanted me to make the house appear as bad as possible so they could get the seller to greatly reduce their asking price. If this is your intent for an inspection, please call one of my competitors, I am not the inspector for you. Even though I work for my client’s best interest, this practice is unfair to the seller and is unethical for any inspector to agree to do. I will not take part in any situation that is questionable, dishonest or unethical.
I conduct the same level of inspection for every home I inspect, which is a thorough, honest and transparent inspection.

My home inspections do not only report on the major deficiencies but will also include maintenance advice and general knowledge of the workings of the house. It’s always good to know where the water shut-off valve is, or how to change the filter for the furnace, and so forth. The report can be used as a maintenance manual of sorts.
All inspections are based on the InterNACHI (International Association of Home Inspectors) Standards of Practice. At Healymonster, we pride ourselves in going above and beyond the “standards”. For example, the InterNACHI Standards of Practice requires that a sample number of outlets be tested and windows opened. Every accessible outlet is tested and every accessible window is opened and checked for cracks, fogging, discoloration, and any other issues that may be present.
When visible and accessible, we inspect all of the following systems and components of the home, inside and out, from the foundation to the roof; all asphalt shingled roofs are walked on when it is safe to do so. Please note that due to possible damage to the roofing material, tile roofs are not walked on.

Protect Your Investment with a Diligent Home Inspection
I check each home for the presence of visible mold, and other abnormalities along with a cursory inspection for termites. If any such items are found they will be identified in your report. Your home will be meticulously inspected as if it were my own, and you can rest assured that to ensure a comprehensive inspection, we use thermal imaging as part of the home inspection process.
If you are attending the inspection, at the completion, I will provide you with an in-person hands-on summary of the discovered issues. If you are unable to attend, you will receive the summary page too via email along with a web-based and PDF format report with pictures and videos if applicable and detailed explanations. You may call me with any questions you may have. I will take the time you need to answer any questions you may have about the report or the home in general. With Healymonster Home Inspections on the job, you can rest assured that there are no surprises waiting to jump out at you in your new home.
